Ling Lo, native Taiwanese. As an active performer, Dr. Lo has been invited as a guest artist to present duo recitals at several universities including Purdue University Fort Wayne, Olivet College, Saginaw Valley State University, the University of Louisville, SUNY Potsdam, Schenectady County Community College, and the University of Kentucky. Additionally, Dr. Lo has served as a festival pianist for the Mid-West Regional Tuba and Euphonium Conference, Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival, Henri Selmer Summer Clarinet Festival, and The Potsdam Clarinet Summit. Dr. Lo has also worked as a rehearsal pianist for opera productions such as “Le Nezzo di Figaro”, “Dido and Aeneas”, “Princess Ida”; served as orchestra pianist for opera production “Street Scene” and Crane School of Music Wind Ensemble.
With a strong passion for chamber music, Dr. Lo has formed several chamber groups that focus on both classical and contemporary repertoire, including a piano, violin, and clarinet trio, a piano quartet, Connexion Trio, and currently the "Duo LoW".
Dr. Lo holds degrees from Michigan State University (D.M.A. Piano Performance/D.M.A. Collaborative Piano/M.M. Collaborative Piano) and Boston University (M.M. Piano Performance). Her teachers include Pavel Nersessian, Deborah Moriarty, Konstantinos Papadakis, and Zhihua Tang.
As a believer of music education, she had previously served as instructor at State University of New York in Potsdam, Saginaw Valley State University, The Flint Institute of Music, and staff pianist at Texas A&M University – Kingsville. Dr. Lo is joining the University of North Dakota as Teaching Assistant Professor in Collaborative Piano in fall 2023. In the summertime, Dr. Lo spend time with her family and lovely puppy at New England Music Camp as piano faculty.
